• Throughout the year HTC offers lots of options for your players to develop their tennis skills and love for tennis! Whether your players just want to learn and play for fun or develop from beginners to advanced players.  We offer it all!

1. Youth 'Fun' Green Ball Clinic Drop In  - Mon/Wed, 4:30-5:30- ages: 7-17 - Starts Feb 2
2. Youth Beginner Programs - Spring and Fall - 4 Week Programs - Ages 7-17 - Feb (Full), March, April
3. Home School Youth Tennis - All ages, Tue/Wed mornings - Spring and Fall
4. Advanced Youth Tennis Program - Experienced/motivated players - year round.
5. Tiny Stars Drop Ins - Ages: 4-7  - Tue/Thu, 3:30-4:15pm - Starts March 24
6. Private Group or Individual Lessons - with one or our Coaches - is always available for all ages!

- For Advanced Beginner Players - who have played some tennis, and/or completed one of our Youth Beginner Programs.

Advanced Youth Tennis Program - Jan 13 - May 14, Tue/Thu, 4:30-6:00pm

• June, July - Advanced will move to Summer Camp days/times, with Advanced Players on separate courts from campers.

Four levels of players are supported from Age 9-17. 

• • Advanced Beginner - Green Ball - (Mon/Wed 4:30-5:30 $20/session)
  • Intermediate 1, Pre-JV High School level
  • Intermediate 2,  JV High School level 
  • Advanced (High School Elite Players Program) - Varsity High School level

Our Advanced Tennis Group is designed to give highly motivated players an opportunity to develop their tennis skills to play high school tennis, play USTA Youth Tournaments or simply wish to develop their competitive tennis skills to the highest level.

Tiny Stars Tennis - 4-7 Year Olds

- Starts March 24 - Tue/Thu - 3:30-4:15 - $15/session 

• A great drop-in program to help your new players get a great start to tennis!  We do ask parents to have consistency in coming if at all possible.  Please let us know if you plan to come both Tue and Thu, or just once a week, etc.  Our goal is 4-6 players per coach - so we can add a second/third coach when we get higher numbers.
• We provide the balls, and if you don't have a racquet yet, we have loaner racquets and at your first session, we can tell you what size to purchase when you're ready.  (generally $20 at Walmart/Sports Academy/etc.)
• We separate the 4-5 yrs and 6-7 yr olds.  Our 4-5s use the Large Red Tennis Balls with a small tennis net.  Our 6-7s use orange dot balls and the standard tennis net.

HTC Home School Youth Tennis for ages 5-17 with Roland Markwalter

Begins Feb 24 * Tuesdays and Wednesdays * 10:00am-11:00am

This class offers a wide range of tennis activities. It is a low-cost, non-committal way for kids to get exercise and PE credits.  No special clothes are needed for this class, just tennis shoes and a racquet. Play will be held at the Huntsville Tennis Center  and play courts are based on age and participation.  

The cost is $20 per player per day or you can choose to pay $170 by Feb 19th to cover the entire season. Prices are based on  $20 per player per day. Price for the season will increase to $190 after Feb 19th. A third child in a family will be $140 by Feb 19th or $160 after Feb 19th.

Always check court status at www.huntsvilletenniscenter.com if bad weather is forecasted on the scheduled dates.

Junior Team Tennis! Sign Up Now!

Begins in Feb* Match Play is Sunday afternoons.

HAPPY NEW YEAR!  I hope this email finds everyone well in the New Year and ready to play some tennis! 

We are announcing the opening of registration for our February/March session!  We are busy behind the scenes planning the rest of the year, but we really miss our families and want to give the kids an opportunity to play some matches. 

Matches will be held on the following Sunday afternoons at Huntsville Tennis Center, 2305 Airport Road SW, Huntsville, Alabama:

February 8, 15, 22 and March 1 (Rain date/makeup: March 15)

*I get this question a lot.  What if we cannot make it one of the Sundays?  No problem, you can still play the weeks you are available. 

For planning purposes:  12 and under will play 1-2PM and 13–18-year-olds will play from 2-4PM.

Exact times will be decided the week of our first matches depending on numbers and levels of players.  Remember our goal is to provide fun and competitive matches for all!

*Players must remain age eligible through August 31, 2025, for the age group in which they are participating.  So, if you turn 11 on August 11, 2025 you will need to play in the 12U. 

FEES:   $25  (court fees and balls are included) plus small convenience fee for USTA

REQUIREMENTS TO PLAY JTT: You must be a member of USTA.  Memberships are free for juniors, but you must have a USTA number in addition to a team number to register for team tennis.

STEP 2: Register for a team in tennis link with one of the following team numbers only after you have received your USTA number.  Your USTA number will never change.  Team numbers will change each season.
